Training days mark end of Cally Walls 2015 project

Thanks to the generous grant of £3790 from the Post Code Community Trust and support from the Forestry Commission, Dumfries and Galloway Council and the Gatehouse Development Initiative, the whole section of wall between Enrick farm and the A75 has now been repaired.

Over the winter the Fleet Valley volunteers cleared dykes, created habitat piles and carried out path repairs in the area of the walls.  At the end of the project the volunteers enjoyed two days of dyking training, where they learnt the principles of dyke building  and were able to repair two sections of dyke.
