Co-op spending helps to restore Cally walls

Up and down the country spending by Co-op members has raised over £19 million to be spent on over 4000 Local Community Fund projects.  Thanks to spending by local Co-op members over £1800 is being made available to help restore the Cally boundary walls.

Along with funds from the Forestry Commission, this financial support is helping to complete the restoration of the boundary wall around Cally.  The project has also involved the Fleet Valley volunteers in clearing vegetation from the old wall and digging out fallen stones and pupils from Kirkcudbright Academy have had the opportunity to learn about dyking and take part in training days.
