David will tell the story of the many artists, some famous, some less well known who have chosen the parish of Borgue as the subject for a wide variety of paintings.
The book will be launched at The Mill on the Fleet on Wednesday 22 March 2017 at 6.30 for 7.00pm with an illustrated talk by the author and refreshments.

There is currently a petition in Spar and the Gatehouse Store regarding the state of the former Woodside Garage site. Gatehouse residents are still concerned about the poor state of the site and have asked local MP Richard Arkless to support a formal approach to Dumfries and Galloway Council to negotiate with the site owner to achieve improvements at this prominent site. If you feel that you wish to lend your support, please sign the petition as soon as possible.
