The Community Council invites you to the Coronation Town Picnic

Do you remember the celebratory picnics we have held in the past, for the Queen’s 90th birthday, the Jubilee and even, in 1995, the Bicentenary? 

The Community Council invites you to the Coronation Town Picnic on Monday, May 8th in Garries Park 12 noon till 6 pm with our very own Deputy Lord Lieutenant, Chris Walker, in attendance.

The Community Council will be holding a "virtual" meeting due to the Covid-19 restriction. Consequently, public attendance is not really feasible. Food Train Friends

Food Train is a social enterprise providing vital support services to enable older people to live independently at home for as long as possible. In addition to providing a vital grocery delivery service The Food Train is establishing a new befriending service in the Strewartry.

Gatehouse receives biosphere recognition

New signs have been erected at the entrances to Gatehouse declaring that we are a Biosphere community.

Gatehouse of Fleet is a proud supporter of the Galloway and Southern Ayrshire Biosphere.  A Biosphere is a special designation awarded by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization to areas renowned for their special environments which are valued by local people.
